Lean Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Co-OpThe Lean Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering Co-Op in Madison will have the opportunity to learn and eventually teach Lean, driving problem solving and continuous improvement throughout the site. Work will incorporate aspects of daily management, short-term problem solving, and long-term projects and kaizen events tied to the Madison Transformation Plan. Key focuses include developing processes to support Safety and Efficiency of Anesthesia Production Line, transforming the production and flow of test assembly stations, and the incorporation of the Heartbeat Business System.The Co-Op will learn and teach others Lean tools such as:5SVisual ManagementSetup ReductionValue Stream MappingStandard WorkError-ProofingCo-Ops will also have opportunities for training, networking, and best practice sharing both internal and external to the Madison site.Required QualificationsEnrollment at an accredited college or university (Bachelor's preferred)Target majors include Engineering, Supply Chain, and Operations ManagementExcellent communication skills and ability to articulate technical problems in clear and simple termsStrong initiative and ability to work independently and in teamsTeam player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of working within a diverse teamDesired QualificationsPrior intern or co-op experience in the manufacturing space, preferably on a shop floorDemonstrated analytical abilityProven leadership skills and experienceStrong organizational skills and attention to detailCreative problem solving skills and ability to think outside the boxWhy Join Us?At GE HealthCare, we're building a healthier world - powered by operational excellence.
