Job Title: Learning and Development Specialist

Location: Beaumont, Texas

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000

What's the Job?

Own the design, development, hands‑on implementation, and ongoing management of learning and development programs, performance management, and succession planning processes that support business needs.

Independently create programs from the ground up—then launch, facilitate, maintain, and continuously improve them to close employee skill gaps and strengthen leadership capability.

Conduct training needs assessments and develop annual and department‑specific training plans based on identified gaps, business priorities, and operational requirements.

Build practical tools and procedures for performance management and succession planning, help leaders set meaningful objectives, and support employees and managers with career and development planning.

Use metrics, employee feedback, and business data to evaluate program effectiveness, identify trends and barriers, and recommend or implement improvements.

What's Needed?

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Training and Development, Organizational Development, Organizational Psychology, or a related field preferred.

Seven or more years of progressive Human Resources experience with significant responsibility for learning and development, organizational development, performance management, or a related area.

Demonstrated hands‑on experience independently creating, launching, facilitating, maintaining, and improving learning programs across multiple employee levels.

Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple training and development initiatives at the same time.

Experience with learning management systems and performance management platforms; Paylocity or comparable HRIS/LMS experience is preferred.

What's in it for me?

Opportunity to take real ownership of learning and performance programs—from concept and design through rollout, measurement, and continuous improvement.

Work directly with HR, department managers, subject matter experts, and employees to strengthen leadership capability and support employee engagement and retention.

Use data‑driven insights to identify skill gaps and development opportunities, then take action to improve outcomes.

Build credibility across the organization by communicating clearly, facilitating effectively, and following through on commitments.

Contribute to a workplace culture that supports accountability, collaboration, respect, employee engagement, and ongoing learning.
