Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Assistant for a reputable company in Elkhart, IN. Location: Onsite, Elkhart, Indiana
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
Peoplelink Staffing Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Lease Accounting Assistant to join a growing team in Elkhart, Indiana. This onsite position is responsible for supporting lease administration and accounting functions, including reviewing lease agreements, maintaining accurate lease records, processing payment requests, tracking critical lease dates, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong administrative or accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and a commitment to accuracy when working with financial and contractual documentation. Responsibilities
Review lease agreements and related documents for completeness and accuracy.
Enter and maintain lease data within lease administration or accounting systems.
Verify lease payment obligations, critical dates, and supporting documentation.
Prepare payment requests and submit approved lease obligations to Accounts Payable.
Monitor lease schedules to ensure accurate and timely payments.
Reconcile lease records against supporting documentation and system data.
Maintain organized electronic and physical lease files.
Research and resolve data discrepancies with internal stakeholders, landlords, and Accounts Payable.
Track lease amendments, renewals, and other lease-related changes.
Generate reports and provide documentation support during audits.
Ensure compliance with company policies, lease terms, and recordkeeping requirements.
Qualifications
Previous administrative, accounting, data entry, or lease administration experience.
Proficient with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience reviewing contracts, leases, or financial documents.
Knowledge of Accounts Payable processes.
Experience with ERP, lease administration, or accounting systems.
Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies effectively.
Experience in a high-volume data entry environment.
