Leather CutterHickory Chair - Hickory, NC 28602Position OverviewPosition Type: Full Time Job Shift: DayPosition DescriptionPosition Summary:This position is responsible for reading the work orders for special instructions for cutting the leather for upholstery furniture.Primary Duties:Verifies that leather and pattern correspond to the work order.Inspects leather for defects and verifies the dye lots.Locates correct pattern and checks swatches for proper alignment of leather.Marks out the leather and cuts to proper size and shape.Marks and bundles all parts together and places in proper area for pick-up.Records all yardages used on ticket.Maintains equipment and work area in an orderly manner.Must follow all safety policies and procedures.All other duties as assigned.QualificationsPosition Requirements:High school diploma/GED preferredPrevious leather cutting experience preferredPhysical Requirements:The physical demands and work environment expectations described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
