Job description
Ledyard Home Health Aide
Direct Support Professionals needed for all shifts. Positions will provide support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in a variety of programs. Position requires hands-on care to assist clients with activities of daily living including personal hygiene, food preparation, transportation, and daily documentation.
Requirements:
One to three years of healthcare experience.
Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
Smart-phone and tablet skills.
Background check and drug testing before hire.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including at different sites and programs as needed.
High school diploma or GED.
Experience helping people recovering from:
Strokes
Concussions
Brain injury
Within community settings
Team members support clients with:
Safety
Organization skills
Medical and therapeutic rehab homework.
Medication reminders
Social entertainment
Finding meaningful employment
Money management
Social skills
