Job description
Production OperatorThe Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of products. This role supports daily production goals by following standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures.Perform routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.Conduct quality checks and document production data accurately.Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations.Maintain a clean and organized work area.Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors.Meet production targets and deadlines as assigned.Education and ExperienceHigh School diploma or equivalentPrevious experience in manufacturing or construction a plus.Forklift experience a plus.QualificationsStrong communication skills, strong math skills, and a positive attitude.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in using drills, saws and small hand tools efficiently and safely.Proficiency in reading and using tape measures.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Adherence to all safety policies and protocols.Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift 20-50 pounds on a continual basis.Ability to safely operate drills, table saws and hand tools.Ability to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours a day.Leer is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our production team at our Jefferson St location.
