Legal Billing ManagerLegal Billing Manager $55K - $65K + Excellent Benefits Birmingham, ALA growing litigation law firm is seeking an experienced Legal Billing Manager to join its team. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who thrives in a fast-paced legal environment and enjoys working collaboratively with attorneys, paralegals, and accounting staff. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely billing while maintaining compliance with client billing guidelines and firm policies.Responsibilities:Prepare, review, edit, and finalize monthly client invoicesGenerate and distribute pre-bills to attorneys for review and approvalReview attorney time entries and expenses for accuracy and compliance with client billing guidelinesProcess electronic billing through client e-billing platforms, including LEDES submissionsResolve invoice rejections and billing discrepancies promptlyCoordinate billing edits, write-offs, write-downs, and adjustments with attorneysMaintain accurate client and matter billing information within the firm's practice management systemRespond professionally to attorney and client billing inquiriesAssist with accounts receivable follow-up by providing invoice support and documentationPrepare billing, work-in-progress (WIP), and accounts receivable reports as requestedEnsure compliance with outside counsel billing guidelines and firm policiesSupport month-end accounting processes and perform other related duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum of three years of legal billing experience, preferably in a litigation law firmExperience with electronic billing platforms such as Legal Tracker, CounselLink, Collaborati, Tymetrix, or similar systemsKnowledge of LEDES billing formats and outside counsel billing guidelinesExperience with legal billing software such as ProLaw, Juris, Aderant, Elite, or comparable systems preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft OfficeExcellent attention to detail and accuracyStrong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skillsAbility to prioritize competing deadlines while maintaining confidentialityPositive attitude and commitment to providing exceptional internal and external customer serviceBenefits:Competitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) retirement planPaid time off and paid holidaysProfessional development opportunitiesSupportive and collaborative work environmentPangeaTwo's goal is to ensure that each recruitment opportunity yields rewarding dividends for both candidates and clients.
