Job description
Legal Billing SpecialistIntegr8staff has an immediate Legal Billing Specialist position available. The ideal candidate should have strong law firm billing experience (at least 3 years), including experience with Aderant or similar legal accounting/billing software.Responsibilities of the Legal Billing Specialist position:Time entry and billing for hourly, flat-fee, and contingency mattersUnderstanding billable vs. non-billable timePreparing prebills and final invoicesHandling billing adjustments and write-offsFamiliarity with client-specific billing guidelines (LEDES, UTBMS codes)Catching time entry errors, attention to detailEnsuring rate accuracyReviewing narratives for complianceReconciling billing discrepanciesFamiliar with basic accounts receivable (AR) processesApplying client paymentsFamiliar with trust accounting basics (IOLTA awareness is a plus)Month-end billing cyclesWorking with general ledger summariesE-billing platforms (e.g., CounselLink, Legal Tracker, Serengeti)Following strict client billing rulesCorrecting e-billing invoice rejections and resubmissionsRequirements of the Legal Billing Specialist position:3+ years of experience of legal billingFinance or Accounting degree preferred, or equivalent relevant experienceMulti-office or large-firm billing environmentsMust be proficient in Aderant / Sierra - or experience with Elite 3E Enterprise, Elite Prolaw, or other equivalent legal billing softwareHigh-volume billing (hundreds of bills per cycle)Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP)Updated resume is required for considerationOnly local candidates will be considered - position does not offer relocation or visa sponsorship
