Job description
Big Lake Economic Development Corporation is currently seeking person(s) or firm(s) for legal representation. Big Lake EDC is very active and assertive in progressing our community with land and property purchases as well as incentivizing new and existing businesses. We are very active in assisting young and new entrepreneurs build successful and thriving businesses in our community.
Legal representative will assist the Big Lake EDC in financial and legal matters concerning projects and documentation to ensure all local, state and federal laws and regulations are thoroughly reviewed prior to approval and/or completion. They will assist in any litigation brought by and/or against the Big Lake EDC.
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
Must be well versed in economic development statutes, laws and ordinances.
Must be willing and ready to assist the Big Lake EDC concerning legal matters, questions and documentation.
Must be willing and able to resume current legal issues initiated by previous attorney.
Preferences
Be able to attend monthly meetings, either in person or by Zoom/Microsoft Teams
Read - write - speak the English language
Assertive, positive, energetic, and personable
