Job description
Role Overview
Apply legal judgment to help evaluate and improve AI systems. Your professional standards and subject matter expertise will inform the criteria used to assess AI-generated legal work.
This is an ongoing talent pool for legal professionals interested in AI training and evaluation work, rather than a single active project. Matching opportunities may begin on short notice and are offered when a project aligns with your background.
Key Responsibilities
Develop legal problems based on matters you have worked on, including relevant facts, forum, governing law, and a reference answer.
Evaluate AI-drafted legal work, including whether provisions achieve their stated purpose, privilege analyses are correct, and citations support the propositions offered.
Identify situations where an AI states the law accurately but the argument would still fail because of the forum, standard of review, or case-specific facts.
Qualifications
Professional experience in legal practice, compliance, regulatory work, or policy.
Strong written communication and the ability to explain legal reasoning clearly.
Comfort working through ambiguous assignments and raising unclear instructions.
Relevant expertise may include legal practice, criminal justice, litigation, corporate law, M&A, intellectual property, compliance, risk management, regulatory affairs, policy, paralegal work, or legal assistance.
Work Terms
Remote, hourly independent contractor opportunities.
Individual project invitations specify the applicable rate, hours, and client.
This talent-pool listing does not make hiring decisions or issue acceptances or rejections. Contact may come within a week or take several months, depending on available projects.
Compensation
Rates vary by project scope and depth. Opportunities in this field have ranged from $60 to $150 per hour.
Eligibility
This pool is open to more than practicing attorneys, including paralegals, compliance specialists, and policy professionals. A single registration can make you eligible for matching across all networks for which you qualify.
Application Process
Submit your resume and confirm your work location.
Complete a short AI interview, approximately 20 minutes.
Your background is verified before you are added to the legal talent pool.
When a project matches your area of practice, you may be invited to its specific listing, where any hiring decision is made.
Completing the domain-expert interview and joining each network for which you qualify can improve your chances of being matched.
Who can apply
Review the original listing for work authorization, qualifications and employer requirements.
