Job description
Canton Mancan is assisting a local law office with recruiting an Legal assistant. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to join a professional office environment and grow their career!
Pay: Based off experience
Schedule: 8:30am-4:30pm
Responsibilities:
Assist attorneys with day-to-day administrative tasks
Prepare, format, proofread, and organize legal documents
Maintain and organize client files and records
Schedule appointments, meetings, and court dates
Answer phone calls and communicate with clients and other parties
Prepare correspondence, emails, and other office documents
Assist with filing documents with courts and other agencies
Conduct basic legal research and gather information as needed
Track deadlines and maintain calendars
Scan, copy, fax, and electronically file documents
Handle confidential client information with professionalism and discretion
Provide general office support as needed
Qualifications:
Previous legal assistant, administrative, or office experience preferred
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Proficiency with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and document management systems
Professional and dependable demeanor
Ability to maintain confidentiality
