Job description
Legal SecretaryWe are looking for a Legal Secretary to join a growing insurance defense practice on a Contract basis. This position supports attorneys handling matters such as wrongful death, product liability, premises liability, and automotive-related litigation, with a work arrangement that is primarily on site and allows limited remote flexibility. The ideal candidate is organized, thorough, and confident managing legal documentation, court filings, and trial preparation in a fast-paced services environment.Responsibilities:Provide day-to-day administrative and litigation support for two attorneys managing insurance defense matters.Prepare, revise, and finalize pleadings, motions, discovery materials, and expert-related documents for submission and case use.Handle electronic filing of legal documents in state and/or federal courts while ensuring accuracy and compliance with filing requirements.Maintain case calendars and track important deadlines using legal calendaring tools, coordinating closely with the broader support team.Assemble trial materials such as binders, tables of authorities, tables of contents, and other court-ready documentation.Edit and format legal documents using tools such as Adobe Acrobat and document management systems like NetDocs.Organize case files and supporting records to help attorneys stay prepared for hearings, motion practice, and trial activity.
