Level 1 Medication Aide MedPosition Type: Full-Time Job Shift: Day Education Level: High School Diploma/GED Travel Percentage: None Category: Nursing Professional & SupportPay ranges from $20-$23 per hour + shift diff, depending on years of experience! Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide Level 1 to join our team at Missouri Eastern Correctional Center located in Pacific, Missouri. The Medication Aide Level 1 (MO) Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.Qualifications:High school diploma or GED required.Preferred to have current active Level 1 Medication Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH) which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com).Insulin certification preferred.Must complete required continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years). Required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File. Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.If not already Level 1 Medication Aide certified – applicant must successfully complete internal level one medication aide and insulin training to maintain employment beyond probationary period.Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.One year experience in acute care, emergency or correctional setting preferred.2 Day 6am-3:30pm shifts and 2 Evening 2pm-10:30pm Shifts (Total of Four 8-hour shifts)We offer excellent compensation and comprehensive benefits for our full-time team members including:Health, dental, vision, disability and life insurance401(k) with company matchGenerous paid time offPaid holidaysFlexible Spending AccountContinuing Education benefitsMuch more...
