Pay Range $21 per hour-PRN plus shift differentials!
Centurion is proud to be the provider of comprehensive healthcare services to the Missouri Department of Corrections. We are currently seeking a per-diem Level 1 Medication Aide to join our team at Jefferson City Correctional Center located in Jefferson City, Missouri.
The Level 1 Medication Aide Under the direction of the facility Director of Nursing / nursing designee, administers medications as prescribed; and documents the medication effectiveness and any noted adverse actions or side effects.
Per Diem-As Needed
• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Current/active Level 1 Medical Aide certification from the Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS) or the Department of Mental Health (DMH), which may also be referred to as DD Medication Aide (mo.tmutest.com), required
• Insulin certification required
• Required completion of continuing education to maintain certification (minimum of four (4) hours of medication administration training every two (2) years); required training will be documented and maintained in Employee File
• One (1) year of experience in acute care, emergency, or correctional setting preferred
• Must show/obtain current Purified Protein Derivative (PPD) documentation for tuberculosis screening
• Must be appropriately and actively certified in Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable
