Job description
Location: Rochester, NY 14642
Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
Pay: $2,837 – $3,175/week
Schedule: 3 x 12-hour shifts
Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM (primarily weekdays)
Weekly Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week
On-Call: Required based on unit needs
Position Summary & Responsibilities
Assist in cardiac surgical procedures as an RNFA, including chest exposure and closure, and independently perform vein harvesting for CABG procedures. Support complex cardiac cases and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Preferred Experience
Experience assisting with DaVinci robotic cases
Ability to scrub and circulate complex cardiac procedures such as:
CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting)
Structural heart cases (e.g., Bentall procedures)
Minimally invasive procedures (e.g., mini aortic valve replacement)
Requirements
Minimum 2 years of Cardiac RNFA experience
Active New York State RN License (required)
Telemetry experience required
BLS & ACLS certifications (AHA only) required
