Personal Care Assistant (PCA)Gail's Homecare is a non-medical, in-home care provider that maintains the highest quality standards in the industry. We are based in Lithonia, Georgia and our services are available in the areas of Clayton, Cobb, Dekalb, Douglas, Fayette, Fulton, Gwinnett, Henry, Jackson, and Rockdale County. We are currently seeking for a compassionate, highly-skilled, and reliable personal care assistant (PCA) to serve as part of our growing home health care team.In this role, you will work with our clients in their homes, helping them with basic personal hygiene and domestic tasks as needed, according to their requirements and limitations. You will provide compassionate care and assistance and document clients' progress to help ensure their overall wellbeing.QualificationsCurrent CPR/BLS and First Aid certification requiredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredMinimum of one (1) year of full-time professional experience in a healthcare setting required; three (3) to five (5) years preferredSignificant experience in a home health care setting strongly preferredStrong written and verbal English communication skillsExcellent interpersonal and conversational skillsCompletion of at least eight (8) hours of personal care-related training annuallyParticipation in professional meetings and training sessions as directedAbility to work under supervision and demonstrate competency in providing quality client careExperience in housekeeping or domestic work is a plusAbility to lift, transfer, and assist clients with mobility and other physical tasksPatience and the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situationsWillingness to perform both personal care and household tasks as requested by the clientDependable, punctual, and reliableWarm, compassionate, and caring personalityCommitment to treating clients with dignity, respect, and professionalismAbility to comply with all agency policies, legal requirements, and healthcare regulationsRequirementsValid Driver's License or State-Issued IDCurrent CNA LicenseCurrent CPR Certification CardCurrent TB Test ResultsSocial Security CardVaccination Record/CardExisting Fingerprint-Based Background Check
