Work Environment
This role is performed remotely, offering you the convenience of working from home while still engaging with clients through virtual platforms. Our detox center setting allows you to interact with individuals in a critical phase of their recovery, requiring sensitivity, compassion, and clinical expertise. While the position primarily allows for a flexible schedule, be prepared for some evening and weekend hours to best accommodate the needs of your patients.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate and assess clients by leveraging your education and training to develop independent psychosocial diagnoses.
Collaborate closely with patients to design personalized treatment plans that consider their unique circumstances and needs.
Utilize evidence-based interventions such as motivational interviewing and problem-solving treatment to drive patient engagement and success.
Work within an integrated care model, partnering with other clinicians, psychologists, and primary care providers to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient wellness.
Monitor and track patient progress either in-person or via telehealth, systematically documenting treatment responses to facilitate adjustments as needed.
Engage in overseeing psychotropic medication management, ensuring adherence and addressing side effects in collaboration with medical providers.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will be primarily serving individuals undergoing detoxification and recovery from substance use disorders. This requires a keen understanding of the unique challenges and psychological dynamics involved in addiction recovery. Your role is pivotal in providing therapeutic support that empowers clients to overcome their struggles and develop healthier coping mechanisms.
Qualifications
A Master’s degree in Social Work from a program accredited by the Council on Social Work Education.
A current and valid LCSW license, allowing you to practice independently in the state of Kansas.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as an independently licensed therapist, demonstrating your capacity to handle complex client cases with professionalism and skill.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in detox or substance abuse treatment settings is highly desirable.
Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and methodologies is advantageous.
Proficient in utilizing electronic health record systems to document and track patient care and outcomes.
