Job description
Licensed Residential ElectricianBacon Plumbing, Heating, Air, and Electric is seeking dedicated licensed residential electricians who are able to inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical systems, equipment, and components to ensure compliance with all electrical codes.ResponsibilitiesParticipate in weekly huddles with the Electric Service ManagerDiagnose and repair residential electric applications per local and national codesInspect electric systems and equipment for any defects and provide the customer with repair/replacement optionsEducate clients on their heating and air conditioning systems and maintenance requirementsDevelop client rapport by communicating effectively with customers and providing excellent customer serviceCommunicate daily with dispatch in order to schedule work orders in a timely mannerDiagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problemInspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with all electrical codesAccurately estimate and invoice repairs and projectsMust be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as digging trenches, lifting heavy objects, crawling through small spaces, and be able to work in the cold and heatThis list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessaryAll apprentices are partnered with a lead technician. All work will be performed under the supervision of and in partnership with the lead technician. Apprentice duties involve assisting the lead technician with all of the duties listed above.RequirementsCurrent TDLR license: Wireman, Journeyman, or Master. Apprentice position availability not guaranteed2+ years of residential electric experience (apprentices: 1 year preferred)Exhibit an in-depth knowledge of and understanding of the electric tradeClean, neat, and professional appearanceExcellent customer service and sales skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsExcellent conflict management skillsExcellent leadership skills to enhance team productivityStrong attention to detail and to manage multiple tasks and assignmentsTeam player with a "can do" attitudeAble and willing to work on-call schedule rotation: nights, weekends, and holidays as neededValid Texas driver license and at least 3 years of driving historyThis position requires both a criminal background and a driving record check
