Journeyman Electrician $57/hr + $1,246 in Weekly Per DiemQTS Data Center | Cedar Rapids, IAWorking Hours6a - 6p Monday Friday6a - 2:30p Saturday68 hours per weekA large-scale data center construction project in Cedar Rapids, Iowa is actively hiring Licensed Journeyman Electricians for long-term work. This is an excellent opportunity to join a mission-critical project offering competitive pay, consistent overtime, and daily per diem.Travelers are welcome to apply if they hold a Journeyman Electrician license from a state with Iowa reciprocity.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall, bend, and run EMT and rigid conduitPull wire and perform electrical terminationsInstall switchgear, panels, lighting systems, and cable systemsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawingsTroubleshoot and repair electrical systems and componentsWork with low-voltage and medium-voltage systemsSupport large-scale commercial and industrial electrical construction activitiesEnsure all work is completed in compliance with NEC requirements, project specifications, and safety regulationsCoordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on siteMaintain accurate documentation of installations, testing, and system modificationsWhat You'll Be DoingInstall, maintain, and troubleshoot electrical systemsRead and interpret blueprints, schematics, and one-line diagramsRun conduit, pull wire, and install electrical equipmentInstall switchgear, panels, transformers, and service equipmentPerform testing, commissioning, and startup activitiesSupport system energization and project turnoverFollow safety procedures and electrical codesComplete documentation and work recordsWhat We're Looking ForActive Journeyman Electrician license (or reciprocal state license)Commercial or industrial electrical experienceAbility to read blueprints and electrical drawingsExperience with conduit, wire installation, and troubleshootingStrong safety mindset and reliable attendanceAccepted Reciprocal LicensesCandidates must possess a valid Journeyman Electrician license from one of the following reciprocal states:AlaskaArkansasColoradoMinnesotaMontanaNebraskaNew HampshireNorth DakotaOklahomaSouth DakotaTexasWisconsinWyoming
