Position Overview
Motion Rehab & Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will work closely with individuals, couples, and families, providing essential counseling and therapy services to promote mental well-being and facilitate healthy relationships. Key Responsibilities
Build strong, trusting relationships with patients to create a safe and supportive therapeutic environment.
Conduct thorough assessments to diagnose and treat mental health disorders, developing individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and circumstances.
Lead individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based practices to engage clients and facilitate discussion focused on recovery and personal growth.
Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on ongoing assessments of patient progress, ensuring that therapeutic goals are being met effectively.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals within the organization to ensure comprehensive care and refer clients to additional specialists when necessary.
Monitor patient attendance and engagement, providing motivation and encouragement to help clients stay committed to their mental health journey.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your clients will consist of a diverse range of individuals and families, including those experiencing anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and trauma. Additionally, there will be opportunities to work with clients struggling with substance abuse issues, ensuring a focus on evidence-based practices and therapeutic interventions tailored to these specific needs. Through your work, you will play a crucial role in guiding patients toward healthier lifestyles and improved mental health.
Qualifications
A valid and active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Training or experience in addiction counseling is preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based practices for mental health treatment and substance abuse.
Strong therapeutic skills with a proven ability to motivate and engage clients in their recovery process.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Experience
While a valid LMFT license is mandatory, candidates with specialized training in trauma-informed care or experience with co-occurring disorders will be highly regarded. Prior experience in community health settings or teletherapy will also be advantageous, allowing for a smoother transition into our clinic's remote work culture.
Compensation and Benefits
Competitive salary ranging from $120,000 to $140,000 annually.
