Key Responsibilities
As a member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for:
Facilitating both joint and individual therapeutic sessions tailored to the needs of couples and families.
Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify family dynamics and challenges, including issues related to substance abuse, domestic abuse, grief and loss, job-related stress, and relationship conflicts.
Utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities to guide clients through effective conflict resolution and communication enhancement.
Maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client progress and treatment plans in compliance with established regulatory guidelines.
Participating in regular clinical supervision and collaboration to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Our clientele encompasses a wide range of demographics, including adults, children, and adolescents facing various challenges. You will be working with diverse families, including those dealing with separation, divorce, blended family dynamics, and communication barriers. Your ability to relate to and understand different cultural backgrounds and individual experiences will be paramount in delivering effective therapy.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
A valid license as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of New York.
An active state licensure that complies with professional standards.
A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
Preferred Experience
While we welcome both newly licensed and experienced therapists, candidates with prior experience in outpatient mental health settings, particularly in treating family systems and substance abuse issues, will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and family-centered treatment methodologies is also advantageous.
