Streamline Behavioral Health Clinic is seeking a dedicated Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our dynamic team. This full-time, remote position offers the opportunity to support individuals, couples, and families in navigating their mental health challenges from the comfort of their own space. Key Responsibilities
Conduct thorough assessments of clients’ mental health and family dynamics to formulate effective treatment plans.
Facilitate individual, couple, and family therapy sessions that provide a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to address their concerns.
Diagnose a range of mental health issues, including depression, anxiety, and relational conflicts.
Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs of each client.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care, referring clients to additional services when necessary.
Document client progress and treatment outcomes utilizing our electronic health records systems, ensuring accurate and timely information management.
Engage in continuous professional development by participating in workshops and training sessions focused on the latest therapeutic methodologies.
Work with families dealing with issues such as grief, loss, divorce, job stress, and blended family challenges.
Offer crisis intervention when necessary and develop strategies for maintaining stability in the client's life.
Patient Population / Client Focus
The LMFT will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals, couples, and families facing various challenges. Our practice emphasizes cultural competence and sensitivity to the unique backgrounds of our clients in Oyster Bay and surrounding areas. Common issues addressed include: substance abuse, domestic challenges, adjustments to separation and divorce, and the navigation of blended family dynamics.
Qualifications
Must be a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) with an active state license in New York.
A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, Psychology, or closely related field is required.
Strong understanding of family systems theory and experience in therapeutic practices focused on interpersonal relationships.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills.
Ability to work independently while contributing to team success.
Preferred Experience
At least two years of post-licensure experience working in a clinical setting.
Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and technologies is a plus, given the remote nature of the role.
Experience working with specific client populations, such as trauma survivors or members of the LGBTQ+ community, is highly valued.
Proficiency in delivering evidence-based therapy modalities and understanding of the DSM-5 criteria.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this full-time position is USD 70,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to competitive pay, we offer an attractive benefits package that includes:
