There is no minimum weekly shift requirement, and therapists have flexibility in determining how many sessions they perform each day. Applicants must be available to work some evenings and one weekend day. You may choose either Saturday or Sunday based on availability and the needs of the spa.Immediate Client Demand Our established membership base and strong appointment demand allow new therapists to begin building a full schedule immediately. We also hold quarterly spa meetings to communicate updates, address concerns, share ideas, and continue improving the employee and guest experience.ResponsibilitiesProvide customized massage therapy sessions based on each client's needs and goalsDeliver a professional, welcoming, and high-quality guest experienceMaintain accurate client notes and treatment documentationEducate clients about appropriate massage modalities and service enhancements without sales quotasMaintain the cleanliness and professionalism of treatment rooms and common areasCommunicate effectively with clients, management, and other team membersFollow all spa policies, safety procedures, and state licensing requirementsQualificationsCurrent Michigan massage therapy license requiredRecent graduates are encouraged to applyKnowledge of Swedish massage requiredExperience with additional modalities is valued but not requiredAbility to customize sessions based on client needsStrong communication and customer service skillsProfessional, dependable, and team-orientedBelief in the physical and emotional benefits of massage therapy and bodyworkAbility to maintain required professional liability insuranceExperience in deep tissue, prenatal, trigger point, neuromuscular, myofascial, sports massage, craniosacral, Reiki, or other modalities is welcome. Continuing education and additional modality training are available.Interview Process Our hiring process generally includes two to three conversations with members of our leadership team, followed by a practical massage assessment.
