Position Overview
Healing Arts Social Work Services is actively seeking a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) to join our dedicated team. This full-time position, primarily remote, will focus on providing comprehensive social work support to senior clients, enhancing their quality of life through empathetic intervention and community resource coordination.

Work Environment
This position operates within a remote setting, with the flexibility to meet clients at various community health locations when necessary. Our team prioritizes teamwork and communication, utilizing technology to stay connected and provide consistent care. Full-time hours are Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening and weekend work based on client circumstances and needs.
Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed assessments to evaluate the psychosocial needs of seniors, considering their emotional, mental, and social factors.
Develop individualized care plans in collaboration with clients and their families to facilitate goal-setting and track progress.
Provide counseling to seniors and their families, helping them navigate life transitions and addressing challenges associated with aging.
Act as an advocate by connecting clients to essential community resources and services, ensuring they receive the support they need.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including healthcare professionals and caregivers, to provide coordinated care and comprehensive solutions.
Conduct regular client visits, assessing living conditions and monitoring the well-being of seniors to promptly address any concerns.
Facilitate effective communication among family members and stakeholders involved in the care of the senior client, resolving any conflicts that may arise.
Educate clients and families about available support groups, social services, and community programs that enhance social engagement.
Maintain detailed records of client interactions, assessments, care plans, and progress to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Continuously update your knowledge of social work best practices, policies, and ethical standards.
Patient Population / Client Focus
This role primarily focuses on serving the senior population within Newark, NJ. The work entails addressing a broad spectrum of challenges faced by elderly clients, including health issues, social isolation, mental health concerns, and access to community resources. The Social Worker will play a crucial role in advocating for their rights and interests, ensuring that seniors remain connected and supported in their community.
Qualifications
Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in New Jersey.
Minimum of two years of relevant experience within a social work role, ideally in a community health or geriatric care setting.
Solid understanding of social work principles and issues affecting aging individuals and families.
Exceptional assessment, counseling, and communication skills, enabling the delivery of compassionate and effective support.
Ability to build rapport and trust with senior clients and their families, demonstrating empathy and understanding.
Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and technology relevant to social work.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in a community health environment focused on senior care.
Knowledge of local community resources and support services for seniors.
Background in providing crisis intervention and emotional support in high-stress situations.
Compensation and Benefits
Our compensation package offers a competitive salary range of $60,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
