Work Environment
In this remote position, you will thrive in a collaborative virtual atmosphere, working closely with a passionate team of mental health professionals. Our organization prioritizes work-life balance, maintaining regular business hours of Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This structure allows our counselors to maintain a healthy balance between their professional responsibilities and personal lives.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct extensive assessments to evaluate patients’ mental health status, focusing on the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms associated with mood disorders.
Collaborate with patients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs, aspirations, and therapeutic goals.
Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to provide effective interventions.
Educate patients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and self-care techniques to empower them in their healing journey.
Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with evolving needs.
Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with psychiatrists and healthcare team members to ensure integrated, holistic patient care.
Stay informed about the latest developments in mental health practices to continuously enhance treatment approaches.
Maintain clear and confidential records of patient sessions and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and continuing education opportunities to foster professional growth and maintain up-to-date clinical skills.
Advocate for patients’ mental health needs and contribute to the destigmatization of mental health issues within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus
As a key player in our telehealth team, you will primarily focus on supporting individuals suffering from mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. This role requires empathy and cultural competence, as you will be engaging with a diverse patient population with varying backgrounds and needs. Your expertise will directly contribute to improving patients' mental health outcomes, enhancing their quality of life.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT within the state of Florida.
A strong understanding of and experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, specifically CBT and DBT.
Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatrists and other professionals in a multidisciplinary setting.
Excellent communication skills, with an emphasis on building rapport with a diverse clientele.
Preferred Experience
Experience working in outpatient settings with a focus on mood disorders.
Proven track record of successful patient outcomes in treating mental health conditions.
Familiarity with telehealth practices and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Professional development involvement, such as attending workshops, conferences, or additional relevant training.
