Key Responsibilities
As a mental health counselor, your day-to-day tasks will include:
Conducting ethical and empathetic individual therapy sessions through video conferencing, maintaining a strong therapeutic alliance.
Implementing solution-focused treatment modalities tailored to the specific needs of clients, ensuring that therapy is effective and relevant.
Developing and documenting individualized treatment plans that reflect the goals and strengths of each client.
Encouraging clients to explore and gain insights into their emotions, experiences, and interpersonal relationships.
Monitoring clients’ progress regularly, adapting treatment strategies as needed, and equipping them with healthy coping mechanisms.
Utilizing an intuitive telehealth platform for client scheduling, note-taking, and assessment to enhance workflow efficiency.
Patient Population / Client Focus
You will work primarily with stable, low-acuity adults presenting with a broad range of mental health issues. Our aim is to assist clients in developing essential life skills that improve their overall quality of life. With a compassionate approach, you will provide support to individuals from various backgrounds, ensuring that each client feels understood and valued.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria:
Possession of a Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
Current licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required—independent practice without supervision is essential.
Clear record with no disciplinary actions;
limited/provisional licenses are not acceptable.
Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients.
Proficient in computer skills to efficiently navigate telehealth tools and software.
Preferred Experience
While not mandatory, candidates with experience in telehealth or familiarity with a variety of evidence-based therapy modalities will thrive in our setting. Prior experience working with diverse client populations is also a plus.
Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and hours worked. In addition, you will receive:
