Job description

Licensed Therapist - Small Family-Owned Private Practice

Location: San Jose, CA | Primarily In-Person with Hybrid Flexibility

Compensation: $70-$85/hour W2 | 401(k) with Match | Paid Sick Time | CE Opportunities | Paid Administrative Time

We are seeking a Licensed Therapist (PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC) to join our small, family-owned group private practice in San Jose. This is an opportunity to work in a close-knit, supportive environment where therapists can focus on what they do best - providing meaningful, high-quality care without the administrative burden and complexity that often comes with larger practices or the big national tech platforms.

Why This Practice Is Different

Small, family-owned practice with a personal, supportive atmosphere

No juggling multiple platforms or complicated systems - everything is streamlined and centralized

Minimal administrative work, allowing you to spend more time focused on your clients

Private-pay clientele with no insurance billing, credentialing, or insurance paperwork

Supportive team environment with opportunities for mentorship, collaboration, and professional development

CE opportunities and encouragement to continue developing your clinical skills

A diverse and inclusive practice where therapists are valued for their individuality and clinical perspective

Flexibility to maintain independence while still being part of a connected team

The Role

You'll provide evidence-based, compassionate psychotherapy to a diverse client population experiencing a range of mental health concerns. The caseload is primarily in-person, with some telehealth available and flexibility to create a hybrid schedule.

Documentation is expected to be timely and thorough, but the practice is intentionally structured to reduce unnecessary administrative demands and protect therapists from the burnout often associated with high-volume clinical environments.

We're Looking For Someone Who

Holds an active California license as a PhD, PsyD, LCSW, LMFT, or LPCC

Has 3-5+ years of clinical experience

Uses a trauma-informed, insight-oriented approach

Enjoys providing deeper, meaningful therapy rather than simply moving clients through a high-volume caseload

Is comfortable treating a range of populations and mental health conditions

Values both clinical independence and collaboration

Has EMDR training

What We Offer

$70-$85/hour W2 compensation

401(k) with employer match

Paid sick time

Additional paid time for administrative work

CE and professional development opportunities

Consistent support and collaboration from a close-knit team

A small-practice environment without the bureaucracy and administrative overload of a large group practice

A streamlined approach that allows you to focus on your clients instead of managing multiple platforms and excessive paperwork

Worksite address

san jose, CA, 95199, US
