Job description
Make a difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Social Worker to elementary and middle school students in a supportive educational setting. This contract position places you at the heart of a welcoming school community, where your skills will help shape positive outcomes for young learners and their families.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid and current certification as a School Social Worker
Active state licensure appropriate for schools
Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students
Knowledge of child development, family systems, and crisis intervention
Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
Adaptability and problem-solving abilities in diverse school environments
Key Responsibilities: Provide individual and group counseling to support students' social, emotional, and behavioral well-being
Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff to assess student needs and develop intervention plans
Consult with families to provide resources and strategies that reinforce students' success both at school and at home
Respond to crisis situations and offer immediate support as needed
Deliver classroom presentations and group sessions on topics such as bullying prevention, conflict resolution, and social skills
Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to confidentiality protocols, and follow all district and state guidelines
