Job description
Take the next step in your career by providing vital support to students as a Special Education Teacher in a dynamic school community near Cleveland, OH. This full-time contract opportunity begins as soon as possible and continues through May 28th, 2026. The ideal candidate will be comfortable navigating both elementary and middle school settings, adapting to various caseload sizes in inclusion and pull-out environments.
What You'll Need:
Valid state certification and licensure to teach Special Education (elementary and/or middle school)
Demonstrated classroom experience in Special Education, particularly in inclusion settings
Proficiency with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
Adaptability and collaboration skills to work effectively across grade levels
Excellent communication for engaging with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Role Overview: Manage an elementary (K-4th grade) caseload of approximately 10 students within an inclusion classroom structure
Co-handle two middle school caseloads (7th and 8th grades), each involving around 29 students in an inclusion environment
Provide direct instruction, interventions, and accommodations for students in both large and small group formats, including targeted pull-out sessions
Develop and maintain individualized education plans in coordination with staff and families
Foster a supportive, accessible, and engaging atmosphere that encourages student growth and independence
