Job Responsibilities
Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individual patient needs and formulate personalized therapy strategies that empower them to reach their functional aspirations
Conduct Therapeutic Techniques: Apply evidence-based approaches to boost patients' motor skills, cognitive functions, and activities of daily living
Collaborate with Healthcare Professionals: Work hand in hand with OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nursing staff to deliver comprehensive, patient-centered care
Educate Patients and Families: Provide guidance to patients and their loved ones on therapy practices to support continued success at home
Track Progress and Adjust as Needed: Document clinical outcomes meticulously and modify treatment plans to ensure patients remain on the right track
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Commitment to continuing education and advanced certifications encouraged
Licensing and Certifications
Current Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
NBCOT certification is mandatory
