Job description

Seeking Creative & Collaborative Humans With A Passion For Changing Mental Health Care In Fun And Meaningful Ways

Ellie Mental Health was proudly founded on the principle of destigmatizing therapy. We've made it our goal to break down barriers to treatment and fill the gaps often left by our patchy healthcare system. One of the ways we do this is by prioritizing the clinician's experience. Ellie Mental Health Livonia is locally-owned and clinician operated. Our clinic is structured to remove many of the daily obstacles that get in the way of providing world-class mental health care. We are constantly working with our therapists to lower the administrative aspects of their job to the absolute minimum, so they have more time to focus on what they love—serving clients! We want our people to be happy, because happy therapists do better work!

Benefits:

401K (with company match)

Competitive salary (fee split or hourly—up to you!)

Flexible schedule

Health insurance (medical/dental/vision)

Hybrid WFH

Paid CEU

PTO, including your birthday off!

Job Description: As a Mental Health Therapist, you will share our vision for improving and expanding access to quality mental health care and will thrive in an environment driven by our core values: authenticity, humor, compassion, creativity, acceptance, and determination. Ideally, you'll bring some clients of your own then we'll help you grow your caseload to full-time, where you'll maintain at least 25 client hours per week.

Currently we have a high demand for therapists who see elementary aged children and couples. Those people who include these specialties in their cover letter will be guaranteed an interview! Responsibilities:

Evaluate mental health diagnoses, then create and implement a treatment plan

Complete ongoing documentation (including further diagnosis, treatment plan reviews, and case notes) in a timely manner

Provide excellent care, utilizing creativity to help clients achieve and exceed their goals

Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to fill gaps in mental healthcare

Coordinate with case managers, families, and other personnel as needed

Attend and participate in bi-weekly clinical staff meetings and trainings

Qualifications:

Master's Degree or higher in behavioral sciences or a related field

License to practice therapy in the state of Michigan (LCSW, LLMSW, LPC, LMFT, LP, et. al.)

Experience completing diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, and clinical notes

Ability to demonstrate and model stable, appropriate boundaries with clients

Excellent time management skills with a proven record of meeting deadlines

Knowledge of HIPAA standards

Effective communication skills

Comfort working with a diverse group of clients & colleagues

Adaptability, creativity, and flexibility

Proficient with Microsoft 365 applications: Office Suite, Outlook, and Teams (preferred)

Post-grad training in an EBP (such as DBT, CBT, EMDR, etc.), a plus

A great sense of humor won't hurt—we love to laugh!

Don't meet EVERY requirement? Studies have shown that women and people of color are less likely to apply to jobs unless they meet every single qualification. Ellie Mental Health Livonia is devoted to purposefully building an inclusive and diverse workplace where all who enter can be their authentic selves! (Authenticity is one of our core values, after all… ) If you're excited about the chance to be a change-maker with us, but your experience doesn't perfectly align with each qualification of the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. Our mental health jobs need dedicated individuals from every background who are willing to care for others. Who knows, you might just be the perfect candidate for another role! Compensation: $61,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year

Employee Experience: We take care of our people. It's that simple. From investing in their financial future, to providing wages that shatter the ceiling in our industry to reasonable caseload expectations we ensure that our people are happy. Happy employees do better work and provide better client care! No matter what it is that you do in your mental health career at Ellie, our clients depend on us cultivating an environment where our employees can thrive so that they can thrive too!

Jobs in mental health are tough jobs with a high risk of emotional fatigue and burnout. At Ellie, we use all of our core values of humor, creativity, authenticity, acceptance, determination, and compassion not just out in our communities, but we turn them inwards too! Our employees have clear growth paths for advancing their careers.

We have created a culture that reminds us that our employees are our leaders!

Ellie is a socially responsible for-profit business, which allows us to be flexible and responsive to our community's needs. Many mental health and wellness-focused companies are non-profits or government agencies, which rely on the general public, grants, or large donors for funding. This model often results in little creativity and lower compensation for employees, promoting a work culture that just makes people feel "blah."

Feeling blah doesn't help employees stay motivated, engaged, or even in their jobs for a very long time! So we created a new model: one that puts flexibility, innovative decision-making, creativity, and our people first, while remaining a socially conscious and responsible for-profit business focused on changing how we treat mental health.

In short, we're just people helping people. Wanna join the herd?
