Job description
Pay Range: $52.60hr - $57.60hr Job Overview: Support employee health and safety through first aid, injury response, occupational testing, and health education in an industrial meatpacking environment. This contract role works second shift (Monday to Friday, approximately 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.) alongside another nurse under approved medical directives and clinical supervision, following approximately two weeks of day-shift training. Key Responsibilities: Provide first aid and care for employee illnesses and workplace injuries under standing orders and approved directives. Support outside medical referrals, work restrictions, and return to work coordination. Conduct hearing tests and support drug and alcohol screening programs. Maintain confidential health records and support OSHA required documentation. Support employee wellness, safety, and ergonomic education, escalating complex concerns as needed. Qualification: LPN: Graduate of a state-approved practical nursing program with a certificate or diploma; OR RN: Graduate of an approved nursing program with a diploma, associate degree, or bachelor's degree. Active, unrestricted LPN or RN license authorizing practice in the state of employment. No prior related work experience required (on-the-job training provided). Ability to work required shift schedule, including required overtime and occasional Saturdays, with comfort working in an industrial meatpacking environment.
