Job description
Find your calling at Mercy! Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Position Details: Additional Job Description Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am with rotational weekends.

Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation.
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
Must be LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
Unit Information:
7B- We offer an immense selection of experiences through our management of complex diagnoses and patient needs with many learning opportunities. This environment provides a strong foundation in nursing and clinical skills. The unit serves the medical surgical population by managing chronic and acute onset diseases. The types of patients we serve are those with multi-system management needs such as infectious disease, wound management, pneumonia, sepsis, COPD, diabetes and gastro-intestinal conditions, and post-surgical patients. We also coordinate management of patients needing surgical interventions, EGD, colonoscopy, outpatient infusion/chemo, and anti-coagulation therapies.
