Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of person(s) licensed by a State regulatory board to prescribe medication and treatment, or under the direction of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN). Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Nurses work 12-hour shifts 7pm-7am with rotational weekends. Only nightshift currently available. Full time and part time available.

• Weekend Option Nights: WEO rates + weekend differential + straight night shift differential

Qualifications:
• Education: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program.
Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining and maintaining a current LPN license within the hiring state in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all State Board of Nursing requirements within 90 days of graduation.
• Experience: Can be new or experienced LPN
Must be LPN-IV Certification issued by the Missouri State Board of Nursing.
Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.
Unit Information:
The Surgical 3B unit has 32 patient beds, with a nurse to patient ratio of 1-6 on days and nights. This unit is a fast-paced medical surgical telemetry floor which focuses on pre- and post-surgical patients, with a focus on GI, Urology and ENT surgeries. The Surgical 3B unit offers the opportunity to learn and perfect critical nursing skills such as:
Head to toe assessments
Telemetry monitoring
NG tubes
IV insertions
CBI's
Chest tubes, Trach and ostomy care
Drains
Wound Care
