Job Description Job Description Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Department of Corrections
Overview We are seeking skilled and dependable Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to provide high quality patient care within a Department of Corrections setting. This contract role offers consistent scheduling, a supportive clinical environment, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a vulnerable population.
Required Skills & Experience Candidates must have 1+ year of experience in ANY of the following areas :
Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC)
Medical-Surgical (Med-Surg)
Required Licenses & Certifications All candidates must hold ALL of the following:
Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Active license/permit in the State of Texas
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS) - Current certification
IV Therapy Certification If you are not currently certified, you must be willing to obtain this certification.
Role Importance As an LVN in a correctional facility, you will play a critical role in supporting patient health, stabilizing chronic conditions, and ensuring continuity of care for individuals who rely heavily on skilled nursing support.
