Role Overview
Apply life sciences expertise and Python skills to develop, solve, and evaluate challenging research problems that help assess and improve advanced AI systems. This fully remote contract opportunity focuses on rigorous work across biology and related scientific disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
Create and solve technically rigorous scientific problems within your area of expertise.
Develop reproducible Python analyses, models, simulations, and data-processing workflows.
Analyze scientific data, validate computational results, and identify errors in technical reasoning or code.
Review scientific solutions and code for correctness, clarity, and completeness.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Python, biology, medicine, materials, neuroscience, or astronomy.
Expertise in one or more life sciences areas, including medicine and biomedical science, computational biology, neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, biotechnology and bioinformatics, genetics and genomics, ecology and evolutionary biology, biostatistics, or biological data science.
PhD, MD, or a master''s degree with substantial research experience in a relevant life sciences discipline.
Research background demonstrated through publications, thesis work, computational projects, industry research, or comparable accomplishments.
Practical Python experience for scientific computing, data analysis, modeling, or simulation.
Familiarity with tools such as NumPy, pandas, SciPy, Matplotlib, scikit-learn, Jupyter, or relevant domain-specific libraries.
Work Terms
Global, fully remote independent contractor engagement.
Approximately 15 hours per week, with flexibility to choose working hours and days, including weekends.
Selected candidates should be ready to begin immediately and complete their first task within 24 to 48 hours after onboarding.
Compensation
$60 to $120 per hour.
Compensation is output-based and paid per task that meets project specifications. Task completion time varies based on the expert''s experience and workflow.
