nStepping Stones Personal Care Services in Carson, CA is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Life Skills Mentor to join our team. nResponsibilities:
nProvide one-on-one mentoring and coaching to individuals in developing essential daily living skills
nAssist the individual with personal care tasks, household management, and community integration
nDevelop and implement individualized support plans tailored to each client's goals
nMonitor and document the individuals' progress, behaviors, and milestones accurately
nTeach budgeting, meal planning, communication, and other practical life skills
nAccompany clients to appointments, community activities, and social engagements
nCollaborate with care teams, families, and supervisors to ensure consistent, quality support
nRequirements:
nPrior experience in direct care, social services, or a related human services field preferred
nStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic approach
nAbility to work independently and adapt to the unique needs of each client
nValid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
nCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
nHigh school diploma or equivalent required; degree in social work or related field a plus
nCommitment to maintaining client dignity, confidentiality, and professional boundaries
