Lifeguard – Part Time - 15 Years old+Reports To: Waterpark Operations ManagerSchedule & DetailsStatus: Part TimeCompensation: $15.00/hourAvailability: Week nights (Thursday & Friday), weekends, and holidays requiredAbout the RoleAs a Lifeguard at Blue Harbor Resort's waterpark, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of all guests enjoying our aquatic attractions. Lifeguards are responsible for actively supervising swimming areas, enforcing safety rules, and responding promptly to emergencies, including performing rescues and administering first aid or CPR when needed. Whether it's exploring the adventurous waterpark attractions before settling down to relax in the spa or discovering the diverse palate of tastes while shopping for a piece of the resort to bring home, we want our guests to enjoy every second of vacation.Work in a dynamic and supportive environment where safety and guest satisfaction come firstOnsite CPR/First AID trainingsGain valuable skills in water safety, first aid, and emergency responseBe part of a close-knit team that takes pride in helping guests have fun with confidenceEnjoy employee perks like resort discounts, fitness center access, and waterpark passesBuild experience that can open doors to future roles in hospitality, recreation, and safety professionsGreat variety of employee discounts and perks!What You'll DoMonitor assigned waterpark and pool zones, scanning for potential hazards or unsafe behaviorEnforce safety rules and communicate clearly with guests about waterpark guidelinesRespond quickly and effectively to emergencies, including performing water rescues and administering first aid/CPR/AED as neededConduct regular safety checks and help maintain cleanliness of pool areas and equipmentParticipate in mandatory in-service training and stay up-to-date on all safety protocols, emergency action plans, and facility proceduresProvide friendly, courteous guest assistance and helpful information about waterpark amenitiesCollaborate with fellow lifeguards and waterpark staff to maintain a safe and efficient operationWhat We're Looking ForStrong swimming skills with the ability to remain vigilant and attentive for long periodsExcellent communication skills and a guest-service mindsetAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamPrior lifeguard experience preferred but not required; training and certifications may be providedFlexible schedule with availability nights (Thursday & Friday), weekends, and holidaysMust be at least 16 years oldPhysical RequirementsStand and walk for extended periodsCapable of lifting up to 50 lbs and assisting guests when necessaryComfortable working outdoors in varying weather and waterpark conditions*Requires Work Permit*
