Lifeguard Positions AvailableParks and Recreation is currently looking for lifeguards! Current vacancies include shifts at both indoor aquatic facilities (Midco Aquatic Center and Westside Recreation Center).Priority vacancies: weekday shifts from 5:15 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m.Swimming lesson instructorsCertified fitness instructors (land and/or water)Front desk customer serviceOngoing available shifts are listed below. All staff are eligible to work up to 28 hours per week.Midco Aquatic Center Shift Options:Monday through Friday: 5:15 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. or 3:45 to 8:15 p.m.Saturday: 6:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. or 12:30 to 6:15 p.m.Sunday: 11:45 a.m. to 5:15 p.m.Westside Recreation Center Shift Options:Monday through Friday: 4:45 to 10:30 a.m. or 10:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. or 4 to 9 p.m.Saturday: 6:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 12 to 5 p.m.Sunday: 9:45 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or 1:30 to 5 p.m.Minimum QualificationsApplicants must be 15 years old. Must be willing and will be required to work a varied schedule including weekends and evening hours.Applicants should demonstrate excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.Lifeguard employment requires American Red Cross lifeguard certification. Applicants can apply without certification. The job offer is contingent based on successful completion of the certificate.
