Job description
The Lifeguard is responsible for providing safety to the members and guests in the pools and surrounding areas.
nnResponsibilities:
nn Maintain safety in the pools and surrounding pool areas.
n Provide supervision and take life saving measures when necessary for members and guests in the pool and surrounding areas.
n Participate in maintenance of the pool, exercise equipment and emergency equipment.
n The ability to be flexible and accommodating as it relates to business hours and work schedules.
n Must meet all safety requirements and certifications necessary to perform job duties.
n Demonstrate complete knowledge of emergency and safety procedures and confidence in communicating with EMS.
n Other duties as assigned.
n nnQualifications:
nHigh School diploma or GED preferred.
nMinimum 2 years of experience as a lifeguard preferred.
nCPR/AED certification required within 60 days of hire.
nCurrent Lifeguard certification from a nationally recognized organization required.
nMust possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work with members in a positive, service-based manner.
