YMCA of Central Ohio Lifeguard
Hourly Rate: $14 (September-April)

Duties include:
Maintains safety and security of the pool and its patrons at all times
Rules are explained and enforced in a courteous, professional, and firm manner.
Knows/reviews all emergency procedures and responds to emergency situations immediately.
Maintain effective, positive relationships with members, participants and other staff.
Performs chemical testing , as required.
Participates in emergency drills and in service to the level in which staff have been trained.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements: Must be 15 years of age or older
Ability to maintain American Red Cross Lifeguard certification
Ability to work with a diverse population including children
Comfort in and around water
Must pass a background check (18 years of age or older)
Must pass a pre employment skill check
300 Yard Swim
2 minute water tread
Timed submerged brick retrieval
