nAbout the role
nHealthFitness has a great opportunity for Lifeguards at Mercy HealthPlex - West Clermont, managed by HealthFitness in Batavia, OH. We are currently looking for Lifeguards to work part-time (up to 15 hours per week).
nPart-time flexible shift availability:
nMondays-Fridays 6:00AM - 10:00AM
nSaturdays - Sundays 7:45AM - 12:00PM
nResponsible for monitoring and ensuring a safe and friendly environment for all of the aquatic facility members and guests.
nKey Accountabilities
nnnMonitor and ensure safety and well-being of patrons using the aquatic facilities.
n
nnEnforce and explain rules as necessary.
n
nnRespond appropriately to any emergency.
n
nnPerform chemical testing and documents results for three bodies of water and a hot tub four times a day.
n
nnAttend all required staff meetings and training.
n
nnEnsure that needs of the aquatic center are being met by folding towels; cleaning; filling water machines; and inspecting the Aquatics Facility to ensure safe environment for members.
n
nnMaintain a professional attitude.
n
nnOther duties as needed/assigned.
n
n nMinimum Requirements
nnnMust be at least 16 years old.
n
nnAmerican Red Cross Lifeguarding with CPR/AED for Professional Rescuers and First Aid certification.
n
nnMeet HealthFitness Fitness and Skill standards.
n
nnBe dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner with strong customer service skills.
n
nnComputer proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook; and working knowledge of the member management system, databases, and tools.
n
n nAll lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of:
nnn500 yard swim.
n
nnActive, Passive, Submerged rescues.
n
nnSpinal injury management in shallow and deep water.
n
nnOther various techniques that were learned during the Lifeguard Training Program.
n
n nThe compensation range for this role is $14.00/hr - $14.50/hr. The final wage offer will be determined based on factors such as location, qualifications, experience, skill set, and other relevant factors.
