YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South LifeguardAre you passionate about water safety and helping others? Join our team at the YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South as a Lifeguard and make a real difference in our community! We're seeking alert, responsible individuals to ensure the safety and positive experience of our members.What You'll DoEnsure the safety of all pool users through constant, vigilant surveillanceBuild positive relationships with members and create a welcoming environmentRespond to emergencies quickly and professionallyMaintain pool and facility cleanlinessAssist with swim programs and special eventsHelp maintain our high standards for water quality and safetyWhat You'll NeedMust be at least 15 years oldStrong swimming abilities and physical staminaCurrent American Red Cross Lifeguard certification or pass the American Red Cross Lifeguard Certification class provided by the YMCAExcellent attention to detail and alertnessGreat communication and customer service skillsProfessional attitude and teamworkWhy Work With Us?Be part of a mission-driven organization that strengthens our communityWork in a supportive, team-oriented environmentOpportunity for professional development and growthFlexible scheduling optionsMake a real difference in people's livesHours: We're open seven days a week-Various shifts available within these hours.Monday – Friday: 5:00 AM – 8:00 PMSaturday: 8:00 AM – 6:00 PMSunday: 1:00 PM – 6:00 PMPhysical Requirements-Position Requires The Ability To:Maintain constant vigilance and alertnessPerform water rescues when necessaryHear distress signals and observe entire pool areaStand or sit for extended periodsLift and move pool equipmentThe YMCA of Memphis & the Mid-South is committed to youth safety and development.
