Part-Time Certified LifeguardsThe Olympic Club, a private membership athletic club, is seeking part-time certified lifeguards to watch over our two state of the art indoor pools for our City Clubhouse in downtown San Francisco. Our City Clubhouse is located one block from Union Square and within easy walking distance of the Powell Street BART station. Our members enjoy two campuses, 19 sports, world renowned golf courses, exceptional social and athletic programs as well as 18 hotel rooms and 5 Food & Beverage outlets.Position Summary:Lifeguard during afternoon shifts on weekdays and weekend mornings.Maintain safety of all areas on the basement level including but not limited to Sutter Street Pools and adjacent pool areas, hot-tub area, hallway connecting pools.General maintenance of pool areaAny specific instructions or requests of the Aquatics Director, Aquatics Manager, and Junior Swim Coach as it may relate to the above items.Essential Functions and Responsibilities:Lifeguarding dutiesMiscellaneous tasks or duties related to pool and member supportOther duties assigned by the supervisor/manager or other management of The Club.*Regular attendance required based on business expectations and needs.*Adheres to all federal, state, local and San Francisco laws regarding health, safety and employmentQualifications:Must be 18 years of ageLifeguard Certification, CPR/AED and First AidExcellent English communication skills required1 Year experiencePerks: The Olympic Club offers employees free meals daily, free golf on Mondays at our Lakeside campus and a variety of sports and social events for employees throughout the year.Interviews are by scheduled appointment only.
