This role involves monitoring pool activities, enforcing safety rules, and providing emergency response as needed.Essential FunctionsContinuously observe pool activities to ensure the safety of all participants.Enforce all safety regulations and policies to prevent accidents and injuries.Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, providing first aid and CPR as needed.Maintain a calm and professional demeanor during emergency situations.Assist in the upkeep of the pool area, including monitoring water quality and cleanliness.Ensure that all safety equipment is in proper working order.QualificationsEducation: High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredCan this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? YesLicenses and Credentials: Lifeguarding (ARC) - American Red Cross requiredExperience: Experience as a lifeguard, preferably in a healthcare or therapeutic setting 1-2 years preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities: Proficient communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and respond to emergencies. Physical fitness and the ability to swim proficiently.
