nQualifications:
nnnEffective communication and problem solving skills.
n
nnAbility to problem solve in a fast paced work environment
n
nnAbility to work collaboratively in an educational setting.
n
nnRegular and predictable attendance
n
nnQualified to be employed as a Lifeguard per Civil Service and NYS Education Department guidelines.
n
nnPossession of a High School Diploma or equivalent
n
nnPossession of a current Lifeguard Training Certification
n
nnCurrent ARC Basic Life Support for the Professional Rescuer CRP/AED, or equivalent certification
n
nnAbility to lift and maneuver general pool materials and other objects as needed.
n
n nResponsibilities Shall include but are not limited to the following:
nnnAttend meetings as needed
n
nnFollow directives (written, oral, electronic)
n
nnGeneral lifeguard assignments
n
nnEnforces rules and regulations pertaining to pool or wading areas
n
nnTeaches in swimming instruction program
n
nnApplies resuscitation techniques and otherwise renders first aid
n
nnAssists in operating chlorine and other swimming pool equipment
n
nnKeeps records and makes reports as required
n
nnOther assigned duties and/or responsibilities which may be deemed appropriate by the supervisors.
n
nnMaintain Data Security as applicable.
n
nnMaintain confidentiality with staff, students, and family information.
n
nnOperate in a respectful, responsible manner
n
n nReports to: Director of Athletics and Physical Education
nSalary: Lifeguard (Junior Per Diem Status): $16.00/hour
n Lifeguard (Senior Per Diem Status): $16.87/hour
