nPosition title: Lifeguard (LG)
nWinter Break Schedule: December 9th through January 12th
nHours for position:
nMon - Fri: 6am - 7:30pm
nSat: 8am - 5pm
nSun: 12pm - 5pm
nDifferent shifts available
nSalary: Minimum salary hourly rate - $17.00
nSummary: Maintain a safe natatorium environment by enforcing pool and spa policies.
nJOB REQUIREMENTS:
nnnCurrent Lifeguard, CPR, and First Aid Certifications.
n
nnPrimarily unsupervised work, which requires alert, responsible, and mature lifeguards.
n
nnPositive attitude, with an emphasis on customer service.
n
n nJOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
nnnPromote and enforce natatorium regulations, as well as Whitten UC Pool policies and procedures.
n
nnKnowledge of risk management and emergency procedures for lifesaving.
n
nnCommunicate with swimmers.
n
nnKnowledge of swim programs and pool activities.
n
nnTrain new employees as required.
n
nnOther duties as assigned.
n
n nTraining And Skills Required:
nnnAttend semester inservice training.
n
nnThorough knowledge of natatorium operations and proper enforcement of policies and procedures.
