LifeguardThe Village at Orchard Ridge – Where Every Role Makes a Difference!Job Title: Lifeguard Job Type: PRN / As Needed Shift: Day Shift Salary Range: $17.25 – $20.00/hour (Final offer based on skills, experience, and professional background).Supportive Team Environment: Work with dedicated professionals who value collaboration and respectConsistent Day Shift Hours: Enjoy predictable scheduling that fits your routinePositive Workplace Culture: Join a caring community that recognizes your contributions and commitmentMaintain continuous surveillance of people in the therapy pool, lap pool, and spa to ensure safetyEnsure appropriate headcount of people involved in water activities on a continual basisProvide safety information to people prior to indulging in water sportsSupervise swimmers to ensure they comply with safety protocolsSpot hazards or potential hazards and take measures to prevent accidentsEnforce all pool rules and handle and report unruly behavior consistentlyRespond quickly, intelligently, decisively, and according to established emergency and accident management proceduresPerform rescues in the event of drowning or swimming accidentsPerform first aid and CPR as required by adverse situationsPerform pool chemical checks to ensure safety and hygieneMaintain accurate records of pool use and chemical levelsTeach swimming techniques and safety education to new swimmersCheck safety of rescue devices and perform or request needed maintenanceEnsure all pool equipment is stored safely, and lost items are kept secureCompletion of High School required, some college preferred Current American Red Cross Lifeguard certification Excellent interpersonal communication skills Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Available to work weekends and holidays Fulfills monthly educational obligations Required certifications include current CPR/First Aid/AEDReliable part-time daytime scheduling and paid training Team member recognition programs and discounted meals Opportunities for growth and advancementAt The Village at Orchard Ridge, lifeguards are more than supervisors—they are vital members of the community, making a positive difference every day.Apply today and help foster a safe and welcoming environment for all!
