Light Assembler IThe Light Assembler I is an entry-level production role responsible for performing basic, repetitive assembly tasks involving light components or sub-assemblies. This position follows clearly defined work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures to support efficient manufacturing operations. Work is closely supervised and emphasizes accuracy, consistency, attendance, and learning fundamental assembly skills.Role OverviewThe Light Assembler I supports manufacturing operations by assembling, inspecting, and packaging light parts or products using hand tools, fixtures, or simple equipment. Tasks are standardized and routine, requiring attention to detail and adherence to production schedules. The role may operate in a manufacturing, warehouse, or production environment and works as part of a team under direct supervision. The position typically reports to a Production Supervisor, Manufacturing Supervisor, or Team Lead.Key ResponsibilitiesAssembly & Production TasksPerform simple, repetitive assembly of light components or products according to work instructionsFit, fasten, or connect parts using hand tools, fixtures, or basic equipmentFollow standardized assembly sequences and production methodsMeet defined production quantity and quality expectationsQuality & Inspection SupportPerform basic visual inspections of assembled partsIdentify obvious defects, missing components, or assembly errorsSeparate non-conforming items and notify supervisionFollow quality standards and documentation requirementsMaterial Handling & Workstation SupportRetrieve, stage, and handle materials or components as neededMaintain clean, organized, and safe workstationsSupport packaging, labeling, or sorting of finished goodsDispose of waste and scrap according to proceduresSafety & ComplianceFollow all safety rules, PPE requirements, and work instructionsUse tools and equipment safely and as trainedReport safety concerns, hazards, or incidents promptlyComply with environmental, quality, and operational policiesTeamwork & LearningWork cooperatively with team members and supervisorsFollow direction and accept feedback to improve performanceLearn basic assembly techniques, quality expectations, and production flowMaintain reliable attendance and punctualityScope & ImpactImpact is limited to assigned assembly tasks. Work is repetitive and highly structured. Errors are typically detectable through inspection and supervision. Contributes to production output, quality, and workflow efficiency.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceNo formal education required. Prior manufacturing, assembly, or production experience helpful but not required.Knowledge, Skills & AbilitiesAbility to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Attention to detail and manual dexterity. Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently. Basic understanding of workplace safety practices.
