Job description
Traveling Lighting Technician PositionThis is a traveling position.Occasional prevailing wage work (up to $55/hr)Schedule: Traveling for 10 days (2 paid travel days + 8 working days) and 4 days off.Hotels paid for by FSG ElectricResponsibilitiesAs a Lighting Technician, you will be responsible for installing lighting products safely and neatly in customer's facilities. The ideal candidate will possess a high level of professional customer service and have a vast knowledge of lighting retrofit strategies. Additionally, there is a hiring bonus for bringing a complete crew.Responsibilities:Comply with FSG safety policies.Install lighting fixtures, lamps, ballasts, controls, or other items associated with lighting systems.Work in a safe manner so as not to damage or disturb customer's facilities.Work from ladders, scaffolds, or roofs to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures. Perform physically demanding tasks while conveying knowledge of basic/specialized tools and equipment throughout the service job/work order process.Must understand and conform to Government/Local regulations and ordinances as well as any/all required Safety Guidelines.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or General Education DegreeAt least 2-4 years of lighting and electrical experience.Lighting and retrofit experience preferred.Valid driver's licenseWillingness to travelMust be reliable.Strong verbal and written communication skillsPositive customer service skillsAs an EEO/Affirmative Action Employer all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status.
